ReviewMe is a site that connects companies with business-savvy bloggers. Here’s how it works: Advertisers sign up on ReviewMe.com and search for bloggers that are willing to review their product or service for a fee. The point? To get popularity from the blogosphere and of course, to gain some SEO recognition.
Obviously, it’s an ingenious idea. Taking companies that have the money and bloggers that are willing and putting them together for a win-win. But it is truly ethical? Is it selling out to be paid to review something on your blog?
Personally, I’m not really sure what I think about it.
On the one hand, it seems slightly unethical to review a product for money. But on the other hand, I guess it’s no different than using AdWords or Text Link Ads.
The jury’s still out on this one. Thoughts?
