After much deliberation (kicking and screaming), I’ve decided that it’s time to rethink the path this journal is taking.
After Bryan’s short hiatus and the positive refocus that followed, I’ve begun to think twice about what I want to achieve with mine. And one of the main dynamics I’ve been dwelling on is this: Until now, whether for better or worse, I have been using predesigned WP themes.
It’s not necessarily a bad thing, Powazek among others have done it. However, as a designer, I feel like in many ways it has become too restrictive.
So with that, over the next few weeks, I plan on not only learning the structure and experimenting with my own themes…but this site will also (eventually) be under a live redesign.
